GUARDIAN Petrolatum Tapes are a corrosion protection tape system based on a synthetic carrier fully impregnated with an anti-corrosive petrolatum mass. It can be applied aboveground and underground or above and below seawater, other marine applications for pipework, fittings and structures such as in the Oil & Gas industry and Municipal water/waste water pipelines. It provides years of Corrosion Protection Performance. It is a key component of the Guardian Petrolatum system. It is a Non-woven polyester fabric fully impregnated and saturated with Petrolatum Compound consisting of blended inert fillers, corrosion inhibitors, wide spectrum biocide and thermal extenders. It is inert and will not polymerise or oxidise. It’s non-hardening properties allow the product to accommodate both substrate vibration and movement. The Tape is manufactured in accordance with Standard C217 04 of the AWWA.
